The Riverside, at The Oracle is often used to host local events and celebrations. There is always fantastic light and firework displays, Santa and his elves can generally be found wandering around the store or in Santa's Grotto in House of Fraser at Christmas. There is an ice rink built for shopper's pleaser by the river side from December through to January and is generally where a lot of local events take centre stage.
