Reduce negative employee emails by setting up well run tream building programs

By: Len McGrane

An astounding 2.8 billion emails are sent each day by US employees. That is almost unbelievable!

Email can cut costs, but it can also build a whirlwind of complaints and shred a company's good name.

Surprisingly, perhaps, something your company can do to reduce the risk of this problem is to bring in a good corporate team building program. Two reasons for this.

Firstly, they encourage loyalty

This happens because team members usually tend to develop friendships with each other. And this makes it hard to disparage the company that the others all like! Further, a well-functioning team helps each members to work better, and when we're doing good at work we naturally feel good about our employer.

Moreover, teambuilding programs bring members together.

A relatively inexpensive team building idea like free tickets to a concert or sports fixture, or an expensive idea like a family vacation for all team members, give team members a chance to come to know each other more, in a different setting, in a relaxed mood. Then there the training events that train rather than entertain, using formal adult games and exercises. Through these, team members face situations that make them more confident in their colleagues, give each an appreciation of their fellows, and when done right leave them thinking it is very positive being part of their team.

People in teams like these are probably not going to email compaints about their company.

Good teambuilding programs can raise productivity and also reduce the volume of mal-intended anti-company emails that employees write.
