There is nothing bad with it, but soon you start to be overloaded by tutorials and memberships to all kind of useful services. Keeping up with all of them it is very difficult.

The gurus claim that doesn't matter if you are a geek or a "newbie", they will make you rich overnight with their couching programs, some of them can even cost one thousand dollars a month. I have no doubt that the technics they teach you are very interesting, the only thing that doesn't sound right is that how can you learn something now and manage it to be rich overnight?

The most important thing to do, at the beginning of your carrier as an Internet publisher, or as an Internet marketer, is to decide the field you want to specialize, maybe later on you may want to switch and broad up you knowledge, but at list when you start, you need to be focused on one area and avoid getting confused and perhaps ending up doing nothing.

To be realistic, if you decide to get involved with SEO (Search Engine Optimization) you should seriously consider learning HTML and not starting to build web sites with Dreamweaver or code generators like that. The best way to learn HTML is buying a book, and while it can be a little more difficult at the beginning, you will save a lot of time when it will come to add a shopping cart to your web site, or if you will want to add some AdSense ads to your site, or when trying to make your page w3c compliant.

Nothing come with little effort in this life, so, if you are intentioned to start your own online business, you have to be willing to put some effort into it. The battle for the first pages of the search engines is fierce, you have to be able to create your sites with your own content, fresh content is nowadays an important part of the search engine game.

As a consequence of this new reality of the Internet world, if you write you own content for your web sites, you will have to come up with real good content for your pages, because it has now become a must, provide your site with good quality content and more important it has to be original.

Be skeptical of the gurus that ask you for memberships of several hundred dollars a month, even if they promise you a nice life, they show you pictures of nice cars and nice houses, none of them became rich overnight. They started when being successful in Internet was really easy, now it is different, to be successful it does take effort and time. Making money online it is still possible but it may be not as easy as the gurus claim it to be.
