Introducing the Epson 11880 Media Barcode Technological Advancement

By: nfriend21

The Epson Stylus Pro 11880 features an Automatic Media Barcode Tracking and Identification System that provides convenience and gets rid of time-consuming guess work from the media-tracking process. When implemented, the automatic media barcode tracking and identification system is able to automatically keep track of what media is loaded, and the level of media remaining on the roll. When a moderately spent roll is removed, the printer will automatically print a small barcode on the edge of the media that is able to identify the media when it is reinserted.

In a nut shell, the Epson 11880 with automatic media barcode tracking and identification technology is able to automatically identify media type, available length and media width. All this information is stored to a barcode and printed at edge of the roll before it is unloaded. The effective reloading of partially used media rolls effectively reduces problems. This innovationpromises no more running out of roll part way through a lengthy print job. Automatic media barcode tracking also assists in comfortably identifying media types as opposed to guessing.

In addition to the media barcode technology, the Epson Stylus Pro 11880 includes 16-bit printer drivers that allow the Stylus Pro printers the option to function in a completely 16-bit workflow on either Apple Macintosh OS X or Windows XP/Vista operating systems. This incredible driver technology transcends previous driver constraints and enables remarkably detailed conversions and ranges in the final prints. The Epson 11880 brand ports include one high-performance USB 2.0 and one Gigabit Ethernet Port. These industrious Epson drivers work for Macintosh and/or Windows.
